Design Philosophy

Kuch hasratain aisi hoti hain jo zindagi bhar dil se nahi jaati, chahe waqt kitna bhi guzar jaye.

The moments and people we wish we could hold onto forever. But time doesn’t give back what’s gone. That’s the hard part, realising no amount of wishing can bring the past back.

But that doesn’t mean those things are lost completely. They live on in us. In the way a song can suddenly remind me of so many memories. In the way a scent carries you back years in an instant. In the way stories keep people and moments alive long after they’re gone.

Hasrat Cape is a reminder that maybe we don’t overcome longing. Maybe we just learn to walk with it, letting it remind us of what mattered, and to honour it as part of our story.

An Ode To Sahir Ludhianvi

نہ تو زمیں کے لئے ہے نہ آسماں کے لیے
(Na to zameen ke liye hai, na aasmaan ke liye)

ترا وجود ہے اب صرف داستاں کے لیے
(Tera wujood hai ab sirf daastan ke liye)

پلٹ کے سوئے چمن دیکھنے سے کیا ہوگا
(Palat ke soye chaman dekhne se kya hoga)

وہ شاخ ہی نہ رہی جو تھی آشیاں کے لیے
(Woh shaakh hi na rahi jo thi aashiyan ke liye)

Translation:

Neither for the earth, nor for the sky you exist,
Your existence now is only for a tale to persist.
What’s the use of turning back to see the garden again,
The branch that was your nest no longer remains.
